The QS-9000 defines the basic requirements
from DaimlerChrysler, Ford and General Motors on their
suppliers. An effective quality management system ensures
product quality and service, resulting from a cross functional
team approach to a company’s complete performance process.
This principle not only applies to the manufacturer, but
also to the supplier and sub supplier. With a QS-9000
certification the efforts of the entire team are confirmed
by a neutral third party.
Condition for a certification
For successful QS-9000
certification, companies have to
Demonstrate that they have effectively implemented
all
QS-9000 requriements, as well as having implemented
a management review and a full interal audit cycle.
